Aiight, This makes my third time pulling the engine and making further mods/repairs. Who’s counting? Anywazzzzz, I got the Z back on the road after tearing it down and replacing the long-block. I replaced it with the original ‘new” Nissan shortblock, New Ported and polished heads, (5 angle valve job on exhaust side, multi-angle on intake side), new valves, valve sets, valve guides, JUN cams/spings. I am running 9psi and it pulls harder and much smoother than the previous engine did @17psi. I am going to change the oil/filter along with boost leak before driving to Holly Lake tomorrow morning (120 miles) to further break it in before turning up the boost and dyno tuning. I also ported my Exhaust manifolds, painted my rotors/calipers, New MM pads, fixed AC compressor, Had wheels polished, New oil sending unit, Royal purple transmission oil change, new (used) turbo actuators, New Rockford Punch 45 Amp.
I still have a ton to do but atleast now I can drive it;-) Quality Powder coating hasn’t given my parts back yet and it looks like another week before their finished. I am going to get a new exhaust on Monday here local if possible. I was nervous about this engine since it was the second time going in, first time failure.. Wish me luck! Gary
